Work by jong-Kyu Park approaches fine,tow-dimension and three-dimension. as minimal work which concerns that condition placed by plane works and canvas as a kind of object. Park's plane works want people to come and to look inside the object, while he rejects putting the aesthetic distance. In this desire of approached experiences, we can meet the character of material.

 

Paraffin which was used as material in previous works represents secreted stuff from body, and canvas represents the existence of a sense of the material itself. This character of material awakes the situation inside object with the character of material's surface. From Discussion of Body in recent work by Park, it shows his work categorization of another character of material with the character of surface in material itself, not a simple sensual emotion. From this work which the silicon plate putting on the wall, we can see that Park's ultimate objects through this work were the sense of plane as a minimal condition of fine arts and making the character of material as a object. Additionally saying, we can see he reemerged skin as a concept of plane as well. Especially, the image of skin as a sense of plane is prominent at the works which are far from the determined condition such as the image of a plane which can be cut endlessly. In the process of logical conceptual working within itself, and the way of approaches overlapped by the process of logical conceptual working within itself, and the way of approaches overlapped by the organic analysis of this consequence, both character of material's cuticle and its identity exist in the tow-dimension and three-dimension.
